The design ofhotel - a second home for people to be free from the norm of family life musthave a clear understanding of both “Self” and “Others”.It can only beconstructed in such a way as to create a boundary and a dimension that is freefrom the world of affairs and to reconcile a graceful space with the balance ofmovement andquiescence.

一曲夜上海，油然而生出复杂而真实的生活即视感。文明的进程裹挟着生活的喜怒哀乐缱绻前行，好在，褪去了白天繁华的车水马龙和夜晚璀璨的灯红酒绿之后，你与世界的关系也似乎和解了：每一个脚印都有迹可循，每一个片段都清晰重现。对于旧上海最深的印象，莫过于空气中胶着的考究与优雅以及人们在乱世之中时刻保持的那份清醒与自如。

The famous Chinese song Night life in Shanghai presents the complex and real life. The course of civilization moves forward withentangling happiness and sorrows of life. Fortunately, the relationship between you and the world seems to be reconciled after every bustling rush of daytime and the glittering lights of night time fade away: Each step has its own traceand every fragment is clearly reproduced. The deepest impression on the old Shanghai is its elegance in the air and people’s preservation of sober and comfort in turbulent days.

“己”是对内心生活和精神自由的向往，“彼”是马不停蹄的喧嚣世界，身处新兴繁华核心区域的Hyatt Place，将老上海上流社会的尊崇精致传承，撷取吴越风韵巧妙融于当代都会空间中，形成简奢、雅致的现代触感，令现代风格与复古主义纵情交汇，丰富的感官体验让宾客沉浸在个人专属奢华所带来的全新感受中,枕沪上风华入梦。

"Self"is a yearning for inner life and spiritual freedom. "Others" composea non-stop noisy world. Hyatt Place, which is at the center of the emerging downtown area, inherits the exalted tradition of Shanghai's upper-class society and brings the style of Jiang Zhe Culture into the modern space to form anelegant and modern feel, mixing modernism and retroism. The rich sensory experience immerses the guests into a new feeling brought by personal luxuryand let guests dreams on Shanghai’s prosperity.

首层大堂，贯穿大道至简的设计哲学，灯光均柔细腻，墙面造型以深色木材、灰色棉麻、纹制大理石相互辉映，共同诠释宁静致远的简约之美。屏声静气之际，目光随之散落在远处的条状吊灯和立体雕刻的大理石墙上，垂直分布的条纹序列形同一道缓缓流动的水帘，将你与酒店即将发生的故事轻轻拉开。

The Lobby on the ground floor, with the design philosophy of “less is more”, has soft and delicate lights. Dark wood, gray cotton and grain marble embrace each other on thewall structure, to create the common interpretation of the simplicity and quiescence. When holding the breath, eyes then scattered on the distant chandeliers and three-dimensional carved marble wall. The vertical distribution of stripes look like a flowing water curtain, starting the upcoming story between you and the hotel.

接待大堂于摩登现代和复古优雅的交织与共振中，呈现时代流转的气度与格局。挺拔的轮廓和大面积的马赛克石材拼花构筑出典雅大气的空间底色。橙红色的地毯以一种艺术化的表达方式，再现了黄浦江畔繁华的城市风光。等候区米黄色棉麻墙面上茁壮生长的大树，营造一派自然雅致的温馨景象。

In interweave andresonance of modernism and retro elegance, Reception Lobby shows the tolerance and pattern of flowing times. Tall and straight outlines and large areas of mosaic stone parquet create an elegant atmosphere of the background space.Orange-red carpet re-expresses the bustling city scenery along Huangpu River inan artistic way. The thriving tree on the beige cotton wall at waiting are acreates a warm and natural scene.

吧台和休闲区独特的天窗设计灵感攫取自上海旧民居窗户，成为空间历史感和生命力的渊薮，模糊了室内外的边界，让人于自然光的洗礼中，寻找回丢失的自我。有机陈列的遮阳板，将天光重新过滤，让阳光从不同角度产生折射，或散布墙上，或落入大理石地面的倒影中，在空间中嬉戏追逐，摇曳了宁静的时光，也撼动了内心的风景。

Inspiration of theunique skylight design at Bar and Lounge Area comes from the window of Shanghai's old dwelling houses, making it a source of history and vitality forthe space, blurring the boundary of interior and exterior and allowing people to seek back the lost self in the baptism of natural light. Organically displayed sun visors re-filter daylights, so that the sunlight refracts from different angles with some scattered on the wall or fallen into the reflection of marble floor, chasing in the space, swaying quiet time and shaking the scenery in mind.

吧台、休闲区和餐厅于大场景中各具个性，呈现出和而不同的节奏内涵和豁达风范。灰白基调反衬出自省节制的处事准则，鼓励和激发人们跳脱日常的事务，从积极的思考中获得对当下和自我人生更清晰的认知。深色铜、木材、浅色棉麻和白色皮质面料的混搭运用，增添空间雅致的气质和风韵。随处可见的艺术画、白色陶瓷艺术品、充满生机与活力的鲜花，相互交融，将旧上海的庄重底蕴与尊贵考究发挥到极致。

In the largespace, Bar, Lounge Area and Dining Area have their own characteristics, showing harmonious but different rhythm, content and style. Gray-and-white tone contrast expresses the principle of self-examination and restraint, encouraging and inspiring people to escape from their daily affairs and acquire a clearer understanding of present life from positive thinking. Mix of dark copper, wood,light-colored cotton and white cortex fabric brings elegance and charm to thespace. Scattered art paintings, white ceramic artworks, flowers full ofvitality blend with each other, present the solemn dignity and no bleness of old Shanghai to the extreme.

各功能空间通过利用隔断或家具陈设的软性区分，提升场所的张力和灵动性。深木色长桌既可用于随意的聊天与歇息，又可与吧台组成小型的酒吧，提供聚会的场所。休闲区与书吧之间的亚克力架子，在为阅读和思考创造更安静的场所之余，增添空间的文化韵味。餐饮区的家具和颇具历史感的抽象艺术画，供人细细品味那充满传奇的旧时光。

Each functional space enhances the tension and agility of the venue by utilizing partition orthe soft separation of furnishings. Dark-wood long table can be used for casual chat and rest or be combined with the bar counter to form a small bar, to provide a gathering place. The acrylic shelves between Lounge Area and Library bring cultural charm to the space while creating a quieter place for reading and thinking. Furniture at Dining Area and abstract art paintings with heavy historical sense provide people an opportunity to savor the legendary old time.

泳池区域亦延续了大面积的天窗设计，墙的一面是繁荣的城市景象，让人于都市和自然之间悠游自如。

The swimming poolarea also continues the large skylight design, with one side of the wall connecting to vibrant urban scenes that allows for easy and leisure between the city and nature.

客房以西式之技表达东方神韵，简约雅致的家具，营造轻松舒适的体验空间。

Guestroomexpresses the Eastern charm in Western style. Simple and elegant furniturecreates a relaxed and comfortable space.

由此及彼，由表及里，毕路通过秉持海派文化对精致优雅的追求，重拾遗韵，从内敛细微之处带给宾客亲切怡人的地域感受，从容过渡“都会桃源”入现世优雅。

From “Self” to “Others” and from outside to inside, BLVD regains the rhyme byupholding Shanghai culture’s pursuit of elegance, and brings guests a pleasantand ingenious local experience from the introverted subtleties, which calmly transits "metropolitan wonderland" into urban elegance.

天津，古往今来之通衢大邑，近代工业发祥地。位于这座历史文化名城的中心城区——南开区，天津假日酒店室内设计由毕路德担纲。设计开创该区国际品牌酒店之先河，秉持假日酒店休闲舒适、绿色健康、乐享商务旅行的品牌理念，并适时注入自然景观、工业气质与人文美学，营造快乐温馨的商务度假体验。

Tianjin is a metropolitan city in both ancient and modern times. Located in the center of this historical and culturalcity, Tianjin Holiday Inn at Nankai District is designed by BLVD. The design of Tianjin Holiday Inn creates a precedent for the international brand hotels inthis area, upholding the brand concept of leisure and comfort, green health and business trip of Holiday Inn, and injecting natural landscape, industrial temperament and humanistic aesthetics in time to create a happy and warm business holiday experience.

一面是对自然世界的向往，一面是对珍贵的城市记忆和繁荣的港口文化的咏叹，毕路德秉文史之底蕴，显山水之粹灵，将洒脱闲逸的风姿和自然典雅的韵致，融入假日品牌倡导的轻松愉悦生活方式，焕发兼容并蓄的气度和魅力。

Embracing an longing for the natural world and an invaluable insight into the precious urban memory and prosperous portculture, BLVD makes full use of details of literature and history and displays the essence of landscapes, to integrate pleasure and elegance into the relaxed and joyful life style advocated by Holiday Inn, showing attractiveness and charm.

前台模仿集装箱的形式以浅木围合，干净温暖，接待台采用灰色烤漆玻璃，于简约宁静中蕴含工业气息。

The Reception Area, which mimics the container, is enclosed by shallow wood, presenting neatness and warmth. The reception counter is made of gray lacquer glass, which imparts industry styleto simplicity and quietness.

古人作文讲求沉潜蓄势，设计亦复如是。空间由清净的前台，切入活力动感的大堂，如行文之风采，先抑后扬，于对比观照中制造趣味与惊喜。

Ancient essay emphasizes accumulation for presentation, which is also true of design. From the clean and simple Reception Area to the Lobby Area, the style of space meets a sudden change, which is like the style of writing, to create fun and surprises by contrasts.

大堂设计融合森林的自然意象和港口的生活景象，将自然人文之美发挥到极致。天花墙面四周用金属铝板围覆，铝板上镂空的洞眼运用了参数化设计出不同的疏密序列，经由内藏灯光的透射，呈现充满神秘色彩的森林景观。在中心休闲区域的环境构成上，设计师精妙捕捉了潮涨潮落时的不同图景。大型吊灯装置勾勒出高低起伏的律动之美，如风平浪静时的潋滟波光，轻柔荡漾。地毯的绿色图案充分展示和塑造了酒店充满活力的品牌形象，恣意纵横的形态描绘出潮涨时波澜壮阔的壮丽景象。智者乐水，相时而动。在这一方天地之间，动静不失其时，明暗不逾其度，激荡着灵动的生活智慧。

The lobby is designed to blend the natural image of the forest and the port's life to maximize the natural beauty of humanity. The ceiling board is coated with aluminum plates, while pierced holes in the aluminum plate show various arrangements of spaces with parameter-based design. The illumination from lights inside reproduces a mysterious forest landscape. In the central recreation area of the environmental composition, the designer has deliberately caught different moments of tide rises and falls and, with bold and exquisite processing, melted the wild and free tides into the marvelous treatment. Thelarge chandeliers outline the rhythm-like charms of rises and falls, just likethe glittering and gentle ripples of the calm sea. The green pattern fully demonstrated and shaped the hotel's vibrant brand image, while the freepatterns describe the magnificent scenery of tide rises. As the proverb says“the wise man takes please in water, and waits for the proper moment foraction”, in such a smart world, there integrated the quietness and the dynamics,as well as the brightness and the darkness, fully reflecting the charmingwisdom of life.

家具陈设灵感来源于港口浓厚的工业文化。组合式的家具既界定了空间，又营造了休闲的氛围。斑驳陆离的颜色，沙发木座的榫卯结构，工业港常见的玻璃灯球，粗犷中不乏细节，以个性化的设计凸显活跃清新的空间气质。为了隐藏原有的三根建筑承重柱，设计师顺势而为，巧设系列架子，既创造整体的视觉体验，勾勒出城市风景的墙画和艺术品的陈列又增添了空间的艺术氛围。

The arrangement of furniture and furnishings are inspired by the thick industrial culture of the port. Modular furniture defines the boundaries of space while creates the relaxation atmosphere. The variegated colors, the mortise-tenon connections of sofa frames, and the common glass ball lights in the industrial port are all telling details in the rough design, with the refreshing fashion highlighted with individualized design. To conceal the original three load-bearing pillars, the designer creates shelves with these pillars, which perfectly creates the overall visual experience. The wall paintings and artwork showing landscape ofthe city further improve artistic atmosphere of the space.

大堂吧墙面沿用镂空金属铝板设计，保持视觉连续性。挑高的高度令视界更加开阔，组团式吊灯在丰富空间层次之余，构建了更加亲切的尺度。定制的原木长桌成为空间的视觉中心，浓郁的自然气息既让素不相识的陌生人在此休闲放松，又满足小型聚会的需求。提取自集装箱的丰富色彩，几张颜色鲜丽的椅子点缀其间，赋予空间优雅浪漫的温馨氛围。

Walls of the Lobby Lounge are decorated with pierced aluminum plates to continue the visual experience. The high loft makes the field of vision wider and combined chandeliers constitute moreamiable space while enriching the spatial level. The tailored long timber table becomes visual center of the space, and the abundant natural elements enables people who are strangers to each other to relax here or enjoy their parties there. The rich colors inspired from containers and the chairs with bright colors spotted here and there bring elegance and warmth to this little space.

餐厅以典雅端重的文化基调复活了天津的历史，唤起人们对传统的感知。复古拼花地砖铺设出旧洋房的精致质感，将人们带入逝去的时光年华中。布菲台上方运用色彩明丽的玻璃，如旧时船舫上的彩色窗户，成为旅途中亮丽的风景。下方采用集装箱元素展露出独特的金属质感与工业表情。建筑原有的巨大承重柱被重新解构成陈列架，展现了鸟笼、蒸笼等充满天津人智慧和生活气息的传统工艺。

With elegant and solemn cultural tones, the dining hall brings back the history of Tianjin and reminds people of thetradition. The vintage block floor creates the exquisite feeling of ancient foreign-style houses, reminding people of the charms of old times. On the Buffitable, there are glasses with bright colors which look like colored windows onboats of old times, making them beautiful scenery in your journey. Below thetable, unique metal texture and industrial expressions are designed with elements of containers. The original huge load-bearing pillars of the building were reconstructed into display racks, demonstrating traditional techniques andculture such as bird cages and steamers filled with the wisdom of Tianjin people.

客房沙发高低错落的靠背颇具趣味，色彩明快的地毯提升了空间的活力。依据使用习惯和人体工学设计的衣帽间和洗手间，以人性化的设计，给予身心极致舒适的享受。

Those backrests, arranged in floral disorder on the soft of the guest room, look so warm and interesting. The carpet with bright colors improves vitality of the space. The locker room and the restroom designed based on using habits of people and ergonomics give extreme both physical and psychological comforts to people with humanity design.

“壶中日月长多少，闲步天津看往来”，在这交融了历史与自然、工业与人文的空间中，惬意自在的氛围，令客人以更加从容优雅的姿态，感知过去，直面将来，享受轻松难忘的旅行时光。

“I don’t know how much time has flown over my tea cup, I just want tolive this comfortable life in Tianjin”, in this space integrating history and nature, industry and culture, with such comfortable atmosphere, guests canrecall the past and face the future with a more elegant and calmer attitude,enjoying the unforgettable travel time.
