纽约时间12月6日晚，在 纽约市的贾维茨会展中心举办了第十四届的Best of Year Awards 的颁奖典礼，聚焦2019年最具影响力的项目和产品。美国室内设计主编Cindy Allen和发行人Carol Cisco现场宣布了获奖者。

In December 6, Interior Design hosted its 14th annual Best of Year Awards, spotlighting the most impactful projects and products in 2019, at the River Pavilion at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York. Editor in Chief Cindy Allen and Publisher Carol Cisco took to the stage to announce winners and honorees.

GID office, designed by GID Internatonal Design, have been selected as Winner under Best Interior Project: FIRM'S OWM OFFICE category by 2019 Best of Year Awards .

关于BEST OF YEAR设计大奖

Best of Year Awards年度设计奖由创立于1932年的美国《INTERIOR DESIGN》杂志主办。Best of Year Awards 设计大奖作为设计行业的顶级设计奖项，旨在表彰全球各地设计师、建筑师和制造商的匠心佳作。

The Best of Year Awards is presented by INTERIOR DESIGN magazine, which was founded in 1932. Interior Design's Best of Year is the design industry's premiere design awards program, honoring the most significant work of the year and recognizing designers, architects and manufacturers from around the globe.

今年有超过900名来自世界各地的设计师、建筑师和行业专业人士参加了颁奖典礼，其中包含来自亚洲、欧洲、阿拉伯及北美等14个国家的入选者代表。

More than 900 designers, architects, and industry professionals attended Best of Year, with finalists represented from 14 countries, including those in Asia, Europe, the United Arab Emirates, and North America.

设计师将原建筑外立面的铁皮由灰色刷成白色，并装上黑色窗框；又把屋顶上升30公分，而后挑檐，成为传统闹市区内的一处安静现代的所在。

The designer paintedthe iron finish on the facade from grey to white, installed black frame,raisedthe roof 30cm higher and made roof overhang, making it a peaceful and modernspace in traditional downtown area. 

临近大门处的挑高空间是这里的一大亮点，将一、二层的楼板打通，既形成了一个空间景观点，又改善了一楼的光线，通透也不失互动性。这处中庭景观楼梯所在位置是老房子的电梯厅，设计师将电梯挪动至房屋的后侧，将此处空间解放出来，楼梯也就顺势变成了一种景观。

The void space above the entrance is the highlight of this case. Demolish the floorslab between 1st and 2nd floor to form a landscape pointand improve the lighting of the 1st floor, which is transparent andwith improved interactive. Since position of this atrium landscape stairs is atthe lift hall of the original house, the designer moves the lift the back ofthe house and release this area, thus the stairs become a landscape.
